Sun Goes Down as Southern Focus Trust Improves Financial Management with COA Solutions

May 31st, 2007 - Southern Focus Trust has gone live with COA Solutions’ (CedarOpenAccounts) financial management, payroll and HR systems, replacing its legacy Sun Finance System and existing Payroll and HR system with a single solution.

Southern Focus Trust, a charity providing care, support and advice services to over 10,000 people every year in the South, chose COA Solutions because it wanted to work with a software provider that could supply, implement and support a single solution for its entire finance, payroll and HR processes.

COA Solutions’ OpenAccounts software was chosen owing to its integrated financial accounting, payroll and HR system functionalities.

COA Solutions also supplied Southern Focus Trust with its eBis web system which will allow staff based in Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex to access finance, HR and payroll information via the internet and replace a range of paper-based processes with web-based management.

Jim Bain, Director of Finance at Southern Focus Trust, commented, “We were looking for a system that could provide finance and payroll reports quickly and easily so that we could move away from too much time spent gathering information for the reports and focus on analysing our business.  We were also keen to find a system that was much easier to use, both by our non-financial staff in our services as well as by our finance team.

“The eBis system will bring many benefits to the Trust with reductions in paper flows, paper and postage costs and general improvement in our processes.  We foresee that the change will help position the charity for future growth and change in a rapidly fluid market.”
