COA Solutions’ eBIS Wins Gold at Leading Environment Awards
18th November 2008 - UK business management and information systems provider, COA Solutions, has been presented with a gold award at this year’s National Green Apple Environment Awards to honour the environmental benefits of its eBIS workflow system. COA Solutions and document management subsidiary, Version One, came away with first and second place in the science and technology category of these awards after Version One’s software was named ‘Green Champion’ – the awards’ highest honour. The awards ceremony took place at the House of Commons on 10 November 2008.
The National Green Apple Awards, run by UK-based The Green Organisation, honour companies that demonstrate environmental best practice and are now established as one of the biggest environmental award schemes worldwide.
Mark Thompson, Managing Director of COA Solutions says, “It’s important for software to address both the business and environmental issues that face organisations today. Systems that achieve this, such as eBIS, need to become integral to business if they are to effectively support their carbon reducing strategies.”
eBIS enables the collection, handling, processing, auditing and delivery of financial data and documents, providing a sophisticated workflow engine. By using eBIS, users create and circulate electronic documents around the organisation, providing a paperless office whilst maintaining high levels of visibility for audit purposes.
Thompson adds, “It makes neither business nor environmental sense to continue with paper-dominated processes. Systems such as eBIS not only cut paper and carbon emissions, they also enable more streamlined organisations, which is vital if businesses are to succeed in this current economic climate.”
