Charity Gets Financial Therapy with COA Solutions

treloar trust logoTreloar Trust, a provider of education, therapy and training for young people with disabilities, has chosen an integrated financial management, payroll and HR software system from COA Solutions (CedarOpenAccounts), to improve efficiencies in organisational management and enable remote based budget holders to access financial, HR and payroll reports via the web.

The charity chose to replace its existing Sage Line accounts system and separate HR and payroll system with a more cost effective integrated solution from COA Solutions. COA Solutions' OpenAccounts efinance and OpenPeople HR and payroll software will improve the Trust's reporting capabilities and reduce its reliance on spreadsheets and re-keying of data from its current disparate systems.

The web-based financial management system will also speed up procurement processes by allowing staff to raise electronic purchase requisitions and send them directly to senior staff for electronic approval, and onto the procurement team for fulfilment. The new software will enable employees to access up-to-date cost centre information remotely from Treloar's three Hampshire-based sites. Over 90 members of staff will have access to the new systems, serving a total of 750 employees and 300 students.

Gail Pussard, finance and resources director of Treloar Trust commented, “With 750 full and part-time staff and growing turnover we need responsive, cost-effective back office operations.  COA Solutions' integrated package of systems and flexible approach made OpenAccounts and OpenPeople the right products for us. By bringing the payroll function in-house we will be able to capitalise on our own skills and expertise.”

Grahame Marsden, not-for-profit market manager of COA Solutions said, “COA Solutions has had a successful 12 months in the not-for-profit sector. Our focus on this market and direct relationship with our customers is proving to be an attractive proposition to organisations seeking long-term business systems partner.”

Treloar Trust plan to go live on the financial management systems during August 2007.
