On 20th May 2009 over 80 Finance Directors came together at the London Chamber of Commerce to meet and discuss practical actions that could help their organisations prosper in a downturn. Interestingly of those surveyed, 41% felt the upturn would come as soon as 2010.

Managing In A Downturn – Part 3

Guest Blogger, Richard Donkin (author of Blood Sweat and Tears, The Evolution of Work and Financial Times columnist on work and careers) returns to the COA Solutions blog for a third time to discuss how to manage in the current downturn.

Just as some employees are safer than others in a downturn, the same rule applies to corporate departments. Sales staff are usually secure, since without sales the whole company will fall.
